Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
GenM Software (“GenM”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and what choices you have when you use GenMsoft.com, the DeepTask desktop application, the Camdra Android camera app, and our other software. Contact: [email protected].
Summary
- We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not show advertising.
- Our apps contain no analytics, tracking, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs.
- Camdra collects no personal data, has no account, and sends nothing to us. Your photos stay on your device.
- Our website collects only what is needed to process orders and licenses.
Camdra (Android app)
Camdra is a night-photography camera and RAW developer. It works entirely on your device.
- Photos, videos and edits stay on your device. Camdra saves RAW (DNG), JPEG and video files to your own Pictures/Camdra and Movies/Camdra folders and stores edit settings alongside them. We never receive, upload, or have access to them.
- Camera permission. Used to show the viewfinder and capture images and video. Frames are processed on-device only.
- Microphone permission. Requested only if you record video with sound. Audio is saved only into the video file on your device.
- Location permission (optional). If you allow it, Camdra reads your approximate or precise location solely to embed GPS coordinates in the metadata of your own photos. Location is not sent to us or any third party by the app. You can deny the permission and still use Camdra.
- Storage and file access. Used to save, open and export your images and to import RAW files you choose.
- USB and network (tethering and transfer). If you use the Tether or Transfer features, Camdra communicates directly with a camera you connect by USB or Wi-Fi, or with an FTP/network destination you configure yourself. Images go only where you point them; GenM operates no server that receives them.
- Bluetooth remotes and keys. Volume, headset and remote-clicker button presses are used only to trigger the shutter.
- Thermal protection. Camdra reads the device’s temperature status to protect your phone and save your work if it overheats. This data is not stored or transmitted.
- No data collection or sharing. Camdra collects no personal data and shares none with third parties. It has no accounts, no ads, no in-app purchases, and no analytics.
You can revoke any permission at any time in Android Settings > Apps > Camdra > Permissions. Uninstalling Camdra removes the app and its settings; photos you saved remain in your own folders until you delete them.
What the DeepTask app collects
- Monitoring data stays on your PC. Process lists, metrics, recordings, and scan results are processed locally and are never sent to us.
- License activation. When you activate a license or start a trial, the app sends your license key and a hardware fingerprint (a one-way hash derived from machine identifiers) to our licensing server to issue and validate your license token. We store the key, fingerprint hash, and activation timestamps.
- Optional AI features. If you enable AI deep research, the dossier for the process you select (names, paths, hashes, connection summaries) is sent to the AI provider you configure, using your own API key. We never see this data. Local models via Ollama keep everything on your machine.
- No telemetry. DeepTask contains no analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
What this website collects
- Orders. When you purchase, our store (WooCommerce) records your name, email, and order details. Payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Accounts. If you create an account, we store your login email and order history so you can retrieve licenses.
- Contact messages. If you email us or use the contact page, we keep your message and address so we can reply.
- Cookies. The site uses only the cookies needed for the cart, checkout, and login to work, plus caching cookies for performance. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use information
We use the information above solely to deliver purchases, issue and validate licenses, provide support, secure our services, and meet legal obligations (such as tax records). We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers needed to run the store and site (payment processors such as Stripe and PayPal, our web host, and email delivery), only as needed for those services, and where required by law. Google Play processes downloads of our Android apps under its own privacy policy.
Security
We use HTTPS on our website and licensing services and keep stored data to the minimum needed. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect the little data we hold.
Children
Our apps and website are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Retention and your rights
Order and license records are kept for as long as your license is valid and as required by law. Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK and California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Request any of these at [email protected] or via our contact page. We will respond within 30 days. Because Camdra stores nothing with us, there is no Camdra data for us to access or delete.
International transfers
GenM Software is based in the United States and our servers are located there. If you use our services from elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be noted on this page.
