To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GenM Software and Jennifer K. Mellen shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, our software.

Powerful system tools

DeepTask is a system utility that can suspend or terminate processes, change process priorities and CPU affinity, modify firewall rules, block executables from launching, unlock or delete files in use, and record process activity. These are powerful operations. Misuse can destabilize your system, interrupt other software, or cause data loss. You are solely responsible for how you use these capabilities on systems you own or are authorized to administer. Never use DeepTask to interfere with systems, software, or data you do not have permission to manage.

Threat indicators and AI analysis

DeepTask’s threat heuristics, hidden-process scans, and AI deep-research features provide informational signals, not definitive verdicts. A flag does not prove that software is malicious, and a clean result does not guarantee that software is safe. AI-generated analysis may be incomplete or incorrect. DeepTask is not a replacement for a dedicated antivirus or endpoint-protection product. Always exercise independent judgment before terminating, blocking, or deleting anything.

Third-party services

Optional AI features connect to third-party providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or a local model runtime) using API credentials that you supply. Your use of those providers is governed by their own terms and pricing. GenM Software is not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their output.
